Circumcision is NOT a routine practice around the world - only in the United States and in Muslim and Jewish societies. In most of the world, circumcision is only done for medical or religious reasons. In Europe, South America, Australia and Canada baby boy are not generally circumcised. Hopefully this barbaric habit is on the decline in America as well.
